ART OF THE INTERVIEW with SHAYLA HOWELL

On interviewing:
“The first thing I’d say to any interviewer is….’ Listen.’ It’s the second thing I’d say too, and the third and the fourth. ‘Listen…..listen…listen….listen.’ And if you do, people will talk. They’ll always talk. Why? Because no one has ever listened to them before in all their lives.”
                                          Studs Terkel, Interviewing an Interviewer.
All interviewing is first and foremost about respect: For the story, for the subject, for yourself as an interviewer. Be curious. Be compassionate. Pay Attention. you’ll get what you need.
What to expect from the evening workshop:
You will learn about Research, the Pre-Interview process and best practices, and most importantly, The Art of Asking Questions.
Come join us for a fun and inciteful evening.
