The Beauty of Uncertainty
Art Fair Hamilton invites artists to embrace the unknown as a space of transformation, resilience, and endless possibility. In times of change, when familiar landscapes shift and once-clear paths dissolve, we are given the rare chance to reimagine, rebuild, and redefine. We are seeking artworks that explore the tension between chaos and creation, fear and freedom, loss and renewal. From the quiet poetry of a sky before a storm to the electrifying moment before a leap into the unknown, we invite submissions that capture the raw beauty of transition. How do we find meaning when the ground beneath us moves? How does uncertainty shape the way we see ourselves and the world? We encourage artists to illuminate the unexpected grace, power, and hope found in life’s most uncertain moments.

Art Fair Hamilton offers artists a unique opportunity to showcase work in one of Ontario’s most dynamic arts hubs: the Cotton Factory. A vibrant, creative venue and art fair sponsor, the Cotton Factory provides the perfect backdrop for this curated annual event.
Art Fair Hamilton celebrates the full spectrum of creativity. offering emerging and established artists a platform to engage with the public, sell their work, and build meaningful connections within the artistic community.
Submission Guidelines:
- Theme: The Beauty of Uncertainty
- Artist Biography / Resume (2 pages maximum incorporating both items)
- Website URL and /or Social Media pages
- Thumbnails of works you wish to submit, please place thumbnails on one document labelling the size of the work, medium, and name of the piece. Example: “LAST NAME_Artworkname_year” ex: “SMITH_onthehorizon_2022” and presented as thumbnails in a PDF document.
- Once entered into the juried completion and accepted, the fee for submissions is $35.00 – (up to 3 artworks submitted for consideration with your application)
- Works must be original and created within the past 2 calendar years.
- Work must be clearly labelled on the back with the title, artist’s name, year, and price (if applicable).
- Artwork can be set to sell with a commission of 25% returning to the Art Fair.
- You must own the intellectual property of the work submitted.
WHO CAN APPLY: Artists from the Greater Hamilton Toronto Area, Niagara Region, Six Nations, Brantford, Haldimand County
How to Submit:
- All artists will be contacted regarding acceptance of their work via email by August 4th, 2025
- Accepted artists will be asked to sign an Artist Release and Waiver of Liability,
- Artists Release and Waiver of Liability should be submitted along with artwork dropped off.
- Work must be dropped off properly framed with ‘D’ hooks and wire.
- Artists are welcome to purchase insurance for their works independently.

Before you begin, please ensure you have the following documents ready:
- Artwork Images (1-5 images; JPG, JPEG, or PNG; 72 DPI; minimum 1,500 pixels wide)
- Artist biography (max. 200 words)
- Artist statement (max. 200 words)
