For this week’s episode of WhatAboutWednesday we bring you Peter Gushie!
Like some of our other Share Space tenants, Peter does not operate a business but spends his time at the Cotton Factory creating art pieces that he is proud of and has fun making.
Though Peter first became aware of the Cotton Factory in 2010, it took a little time before Peter was ready to see himself in a studio here. Having visited the Cotton Factory on a Haunted Hamilton tour, Peter jokes about keeping the location of the gateway to the other dimensions secret!
With 31 years of working full time with the School Board, Peter says he has been very lucky but always dreamed of one day having his own studio space.
What eventually brought him back? “Last year a friend of mine was looking for some creativity and a spark in her life, so I brought her down to view a studio. By the end of our visit, we both had signed a lease to the newly minted Share Space. It was love at first sight. April 1st was our first anniversary.”
Happy first anniversary Peter! We are happy to have you calling the Cotton Factory home!
Fun fact about Peter: He was a comedy school dropout!
That’s all for today’s edition of WhatAboutWednesday! See you next week!
